Collins, who had 25 points and nine boards in the game, got the ball in the post with less than 15 seconds left. He waited a few seconds before hitting a 13-foot jumper over the outstretched arms of Sixers forward Mike Muscala.

The Sixers immediately called time with nine seconds left. They had several chances to tie the game. Jimmy Butler was fouled by Justin Anderson with 2.4 seconds left but he missed both of his free throws. Ben Simmons and Wilson Chandler missed consecutive tip-ins at the end of the game, giving the Hawks the win.

Kevin Huerter led the Hawks with 29 points, while Dewayne Dedmon and Trae Young added 19 and 18 points, respectively.
