The Los Angeles Lakers sharpened their tools Wednesday night against Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors, who are now without one of their big men last year in the form of JaVale McGee.

Of course, McGee is no longer sporting Warriors colors, having signed a one-year deal with the Lakers back in July. For Durant and Green, the fact that they’re longer teammates with McGee meant that they have free tickets to mess with the Lakers big man. That they did when McGee got posterized by Warriors reserve forward Kevon Looney in the latter half of the third quarter.

Here’s a clip showing Kevin Durant and Draymond Green having the time of their lives while talking junk to JaVale McGee.

McGee probably didn’t take any offense to his former teammates’ sideline buffoonery. After all, playing with those two gave McGee two NBA rings.

McGee, however, is expected to play a bigger role for the Lakers than he did for the Warriors in the past two seasons. In his short but memorable stint in Golden State, McGee averaged just 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in 9.5 minutes per game.

The former first-round pick is projected to be the Lakers’ starting center this coming regular season, though, he’ll be constantly checking his rearview mirror with Ivica Zubac and Moritz Wagner close behind him on Los Angeles’ depth chart.

McGee finished the Golden State game with six points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block in a 123-113 Lakers win.
