Even with his stature as one of the all-time greats to ever play the game, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James makes sure to make time for his die-hard fans.

After leading the Lakers to the 2020 NBA championship two weeks ago, James was seen strolling the streets of LA surrounded by an entourage of bodyguards. The tight security, however, did not stop The King from acknowledging a family who patiently waited eight hours to spend a brief moment with him.

Here's the heartwarming clip of how James' simple gesture gave these spirited fans a night to remember.

As seen in the video, the now 4-time NBA champion willingly signed autographs of posed for photo-ops. LeBron even obliged in giving a shout-out to one fan's son and apologized that he could not take off the mask for the photos.

LeBron James, meanwhile, is arguably the biggest professional athlete in the world right now and would pretty much be recognizable everywhere he goes — hence, the tight security detail. Still, it's nice to see him brighten the day of his admirers, especially during these hard times.
