Zach LaVine, Blake Griffin, and the rest of the dunk champions before them should all be thankful for Vince Carter.

When the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest was slowly losing some of its hype, the then-Toronto Raptors star breathed life back to the midseason aerial showcase when he participated, and dominated, in the 2000 edition.

The cast wasn’t any joke either. Tracy McGrady and Steve Francis put forth laudable efforts, but Carter was simply on another level. It was such a special occasion for the prominent All-Star weekend event that Carter admits, in FOX Sports South's College Countdown podcast, to even watch it up to this day.

Of course. I get it sent to me on social media a lot. I don't really pull it up a lot unless I'm talking with friends and we're critiquing it, analyzing it, whatever the case may be. But, yes, on occasions it pops up somewhere in a conversation or somewhere and I see it.

Indeed, stuff like this never gets old.
