Orlando, FL- The Golden State Warriors have once again failed to complete a three-game win streak after losing to the Orlando Magic on the road on Friday, 124-120. Tonight, they have another opportunity to get back on track versus the Charlotte Hornets, which will feature a point guard matchup between Stephen Curry and LaMelo Ball. Former Defensive Player of the Year, Draymond Green, briefly talked about what he thinks of Ball.

“He's playing well, shooting the ball well, passing the ball extremely well, he's playing well,” said Green of what he's observed about Ball, so far this season.

This game will be the first time Curry will play against the rookie sensation Ball. These are two players who are very fun to watch and are must-see TV. Curry is widely considered as the best point guard in the league for some time now. Ball is far from being a serious threat to Curry's throne as the best court general in the NBA, but some consider him the position's future.

Here's what Curry had to say about LaMelo Ball's play this season:

“He looks very comfortable. He looks like he understands what he's trying to do out there. He sees the floor extremely well, and when you transition to the league, that's a huge benefit because you don't really put too much pressure on yourself. You're able to create and get the ball to the right spot and let the talented guys around you shine, make them better. That's what a good point guard does, so he looks pretty comfortable for a rookie, he's been playing well, and I feel like he's getting better, and that's a trend you want to be on.”

Typically a rookie vs. superstar matchup isn't all that big of a deal, but it's one of the multiple reasons this game will be an exciting one to watch. Curry is playing in his hometown, which he loves doing. I'm sure LaMelo Ball is excited to have the opportunity to go at it with Curry, who'll lead a Warriors team that must be raring to rebound from last night's loss.

“Everyone is for sure upset about how we lost. We fought hard to get back in the game. So tomorrow, when we play, we're going to come out and be aggressive and come out determined like we got to win that game,” Andrew Wiggins tells ClutchPoints in his postgame interview.

Curry is one of the top candidates for this year's MVP honors, and LaMelo Ball is a frontrunner to win the Rookie of the Year trophy. Every night is an opportunity for them to prove why they should win these awards. For Curry, adding as many wins to the team's record helps his case, and this should be a game the Warriors should be able to take care of. If Ball can put together an excellent performance vs. Curry and the Warriors, who are among the best defensive teams in the league, it would be a massive plus to Ball in the ROY award discussion. If you're pumped up about this game, in the words of the late Michael Jackson, you are not alone.

“I'm excited to see Steph play at home. That's pretty cool. I get to live my dream every day playing at home. That's pretty cool. He gets to go home, and hopefully, he puts on a show,” Juan Toscano-Anderson joyfully said.
