Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic was hospitalized on Tuesday night after suffering a medical emergency at a private team dinner. Due to concerns over Milojevic's health and the team being by his side, the NBA has announced that Wednesday night's game between the Warriors and Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City has been postponed.

At this time, the league has not said when this game between the Warriors and Jazz will be played.

“Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic was hospitalized last night in Salt Lake City, Utah, after suffering a medical emergency at a private team dinner,” the team announced on Wednesday morning. “An update on Milojević’s status will be provided as appropriate.”

Known for his time working with Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic and Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac following his 15-year playing career in Europe, the Serbian coach joined the Warriors in 2021. Milojevic mainly works with the big men on Golden State's roster.

Wednesday night's game in Utah was set to be the final matchup for the Warriors' current four-game road trip before returning home for five games. Their next matchup is set to take place on Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Jazz are not scheduled to see the Warriors again in Salt Lake City until Monday, February 12. Golden State has games the Saturday before and Wednesday after this matchup, so it is virtually impossible for the NBA to fit an extra game in before the All-Star break. The Warriors have no more than two-day breaks in-between some games following the All-Star break this season, putting the league in a tough spot to try and reschedule this game.

Thoughts and prayers continue to pour in from around the league for Milojevic, who remains in the hospital.
