Golden State Warriors forward Alfonzo McKinnie lasted only seven minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers after suffering from a hip injury.

McKinnie, who is starting in place of injured shooting guard Klay Thompson (knee), picked up the injury midway through the first quarter of the game. He reportedly suffered from a left hip contusion and was eventually ruled out for the rest of the game.

Alfonzo McKinnie failed to score in the match-up and was only able to tally one rebound and one assist.

The Chicago native also started in their previous game against the Orlando Magic, replacing Kevin Durant who was sidelined for the game. He played for 23 minutes and finished with four points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The injury to the 26-year-old now raises concerns about his availability on Tuesday, when the Warriors take on the Boston Celtics at home.

McKinnie has been struggling to find his touch, and the last thing he needs is an injury that would probably keep him out for a couple of games. McKinnie has just averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in his last 10 games with the Warriors before Saturday's meeting with the Sixers.

On the season, McKinnie is averaging 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 33.7 percent from 3-point territory.
