Golden State Warriors wing Andrew Wiggins played his first game with Draymond Green on Monday night. Following their 113-101 loss to the Miami Heat, Wiggins spoke about his first experience playing alongside Golden State's charismatic veteran:

Green certainly doesn't always have the most pleasing personality. In fact, his ways may even rub other people the wrong way. But one thing is for sure, Green's vocal leadership on and off the floor was one of the driving forces of the Warriors' five-year championship run over the last decade.

Of course, Wiggins will get more of the Draymond experience as time passes by. But so far, it's safe to say that Green made a good impression for the newest member of the team.

Green, likewise, believes Wiggins can be a long-term fit for Golden State. Dubs fans hope that Green's tough leadership can help unlock Wiggins' full potential and drive him to improve his game further.

The two connected on multiple occasions on Monday as Green pushed the ball while Wiggins continued to do what Steve Kerr told him to: run the floor.

Wiggins turned in 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting and added two rebounds, four assists, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. Warriors fans were fired up by his huge third quarter where he scored 14 points to help spark a second-half Golden State rally.

Even though the Warriors lost, Dub Nation still got a glimpse of how their newest acquisition played alongside one of their key core pieces.

Golden State should also get a chance to see how Andrew Wiggins looks playing with Stephen Curry, who is reportedly eyeing a return in March. Of course, Warriors fans will only get to see the squad in full force next season with Klay Thompson set to sit out the entire 2019-20 season.
