The Golden State Warriors dealt away star guard D'Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman in exchange for two future draft picks and Andrew Wiggins.

Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Wiggins will make his Warriors debut on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The former No. 1 overall pick, Wiggins was averaging 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in 42 games for Minnesota while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from beyond the arc.

With both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry out for the majority of the season thus far for Golden State, the Warriors are definitely struggling. Through 52 games, the Warriors have a league-worst 12-40 record while the Timberwolves are just four games ahead.

While Russell was averaging over 23 points per game for Golden State this season, the 23-year-old's fit with the team was questionable considering the top-tier guard talent already on the roster.

Wiggins is having a nice bounce-back season after struggling for the most part of last season. While the 6-foot-7 wing is unlikely to lead Golden State's current rotation to very many wins, the team has set themselves up well for when their star backcourt returns from injury.

Wiggins will no doubt have a tough task ahead of him on Saturday as he faces off against LeBron James and the Lakers. Los Angeles currently sits atop the Western Conference standings with a 38-12 record.

On the other hand, the Lakers are just 5-5 in their last 10 games while the Warriors have won two of their last three games.
