During the process of the Golden State Warriors' rise to the top of the league over the last few seasons, All-Star forward Draymond Green has earned the reputation as being one of the best defenders in the league.

According to Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com, Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard Ben Simmons voiced some high praise for Green prior to Saturday's game against the Warriors.

Green has certainly proven to earn that recognition with his play on that end of the floor over the last couple of seasons as he has three straight NBA All-Defensive First Team selections and his first NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. This includes finishing second behind Kawhi Leonard for that prestigious honor two seasons ago.

The 27-year-old's presence defensively has helped play a huge factor in the tremendous amount of success the Warriors have had with three straight NBA Finals appearances while winning a pair of NBA titles in the process. He has become the heartbeat of the team because of his strong personality and leadership defensively.

With Green just entering the prime of his career, there could be several more defensive honors to his name that further cement him as being one of the best defenders in the league.
