The Golden State Warriors' dynasty may have come to an end after losing Game 6 of the NBA Finals to the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night, but Klay Thompson still provided us all with a moment that we will never forget.

During the third quarter, Thompson took a foul from Toronto Raptors guard Danny Green on a fast break and landed awkwardly, twisting his right knee. Thompson lay writing in pain on the ground before ultimately getting up and heading to the locker room.

However, because you are automatically disqualified from a game if you can't shoot your own free throws, Thompson came back out of the tunnel to the delight of the raucous crowd at Oracle Arena, which erupted when Thompson emerged to return to the floor.

He would go on to make both free throws and limped back down the other end defensively before the Warriors committed an intentional foul to get Thompson out of the game.

It would later be revealed that Thompson suffered a torn ACL, but his heroic moment will live on in Warriors lore forever:

“I’ll never forget him walking out to shoot the free throws,” said Golden State general manager Bob Myers on Friday, according to Marcus Thompson of The Athletic.

Thompson ended up scoring 30 points in the loss and may very well have been on his way to 40 had he not gotten injured.

The 29-year-old is also set to be a free agent this summer, but it doesn't appear that he will be going anywhere, as the Warriors seem to have every intention of offering him a five-year max deal, and Thompson doesn't seem to have any plans of leaving.
