Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is never afraid to speak his mind. He is one of the most forthright and confident players in the NBA.

So Green's appearance on the All The Smoke podcast was going to be a tell-all in which he left nothing to the imagination. Green also had the opportunity to reflect on what he has accomplished with the Dubs in the last decade.

In fact, Green and the Warriors might have accomplished even more if Kevin Durant were healthy for last year's NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

The former Defensive Player of the Year said the Raptors “wouldn't have stood a chance” if Durant had not suffered a ruptured Achilles (via Tim Daniels of Bleacher Report):

“Once we got Kevin, we were f–king unstoppable,” Green said of the KD signing in 2016. “Even losing last year, Kevin don't get hurt—you seen the game he came back in Game 5, I looked up, it was like six minutes to go, we had like 40 points in the first quarter—and so they wouldn't have stood a chance if Kevin didn't get hurt.”

Durant had initially missed the entirety of the Western Conference Finals and the first four games of the NBA Finals matchup against Toronto after suffering an apparent calf strain.

But with the Warriors trailing the series 1-3 and needing a win in Toronto to stay alive, Durant returned to the rotation. He promptly scored 11 points with a pair of rebounds and a block before suffering the Achilles injury. Golden State held on to win Game 5, but fell to the Raps in Game 6.

Green has been vocal in his criticisms of Durant and his handling of free agency, but he still feels the Dubs would have won the title with a healthy KD.
