The high-octane newly-formed frontcourt tandem of Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins could prove to be perhaps the two sticks of dynamite that can detonate at a moment's notice, making the Golden State Warriors' potential dynasty implode before our eyes. So far, there has been no signs of anything by kumbaya for the two mercurial players.

Green took the first initiative, noting that Cousins could have his good and bad days with the Warriors and telling his teammates it would be up to them to support him through his recovery, as much as it would be up to him to adapt to their system when it's time for his return.

“It felt amazing,” Cousins told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “I never had a teammate speak up for me in any matter or actually try to understand my situation in any moment. Shows he cares. Shows his leadership qualities are through the roof.”

The two have never been friends before he decided to sign with Golden State, but Green soon adapted the concept after the free agent process was done, making sure to speak up as a leader and a teammate.

“I just think that’s important,” Green said. “Obviously this is a different culture than he’s ever been in, and I think we are very similar in the aspect of we both wear our emotions on our sleeves. It’s important to help him get acclimated to the culture that we have here, the do’s and don’ts of it.”

Green and Cousins have hung out a lot during the summer, ranging from sports debates to politics, to cleaning the latter's pool this summer — something Cousins has highly valued after getting plenty of flack for joining the defending champions.

“He’s made this transition for me smooth,” Cousins said. “He is the guy I call on when I need any type of advice on what is going on around the area, getting accustomed to the culture. Whatever the case may be, I can call.”

If the two can carry this rapport to the regular season, the Warriors could prove nothing short of unstoppable as they play the long game and hope to get him ready for yet another long postseason.
