There's no doubt whatsoever that Draymond Green enjoyed the Golden State Warriors' championship parade shortly after the Dubs took home their fourth title in the past eight years. It was truly a moment to cherish for Green and the rest of the squad.
The outspoken Warriors talisman recently guested on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. When asked why he thought this title was extra special, Green was brutally honest in his response:
“I feel like people doubted us more this time than they did prior to 2015 when we had never won anything, and I think that's ultimately … everybody's like ‘Why in the parade are you saying F everybody and shut up?' ” Green said, via Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports. “And that's because the reality is, they disrespected the work we've already done. To disrespect us as if we aren't champions and write us off like we hadn't done it before, that's why I said ‘f–k them.' Simple.”
Green is not the type who holds back on how he feels, and the Warriors star did just that throughout Golden State's epic championship parade. As he said, the naysayers had their doubts on the Warriors throughout the season, so the celebration presented itself as an opportunity for Draymond Green to just say, “f–k them all.”
