Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors handled their business against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, running away with an easy 118-91 win at Chase Center. But there was some commotion at the final buzzer, as Pistons reserve Rodney McGruder was seen near the Dubs tunnel and hurled some unpleasantries towards some of the players, including Juan Toscano-Anderson.
Pistons swingman Rodney McGruder just went all the way down near the Warriors tunnel after the game and was yelling at some Warriors players as they made their way off the floor. He had to be pushed back a couple times by Pistons staffers because he was getting heated.

While Detroit's staff prevented things from escalating further, Draymond Green had some vicious words for the Pistons' supposed fake tough guy after the game. The Warriors All-Star went on a long expletive-laden rant about McGruder to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
Draymond was in locker room when McGruder situation happened — but he had this to say. "There's too many tough guys in this league these days for me. But I know ain't nobody scared of no damn Rodney McGruder. Like, are you fu***** kidding? It's crazy."

"So if you really wanted to do something you could have done it. F*** over there talking sh** like he's the team tough guy. Get the hell out of here. F****** tough guy Rodney. Rodney. F****** tough guy. "

That was one of my favorite Draymond rants of all time. It was 2 minutes long and stopped and started about four different times as he smiled a little bigger along the way. He closed with this. "Klay said it best, Klay said it best. So, yeah, leave it at that."

Good thing Draymond Green was already in the locker when the scuffle happened, as things could have certainly gotten messier between him and the trash-talking Pistons guard. Golden State pretty much dominated the Pistons from start to finish, making McGruder's actions even more bizarre. Plus, Warriors injured superstar Klay Thompson, who was calling the game from the announcer's booth, also had a savage comment about McGruder's instigation.
Apart from his post-game antics at some Warriors players, Rodney McGruder didn't really have much of an impact in the game. He played in garbage time and had eight points in six minutes. Draymond Green, on the other hand, pitched in four points, five rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 28 minutes of action. The victory put the Dubs back in the winning column and improved their record to 11-9. Rodney McGruder and the Pistons, on the other hand, continue to flounder at the bottom of the Eastern Conference Standings with a poor 5-15 start.
