Klay Thompson isn't even playing yet, but the Golden State Warriors star may just have ended Detroit Pistons guard Rodney McGruder.

While preparing for a postgame interview with fellow Splash Brother Stephen Curry, Thompson gave an absolutely savage shot at McGruder for causing some trouble at the end of Golden State's 118-91 thumping of the Pistons.

In case you're wondering why Klay Thompson delivered the savagery, Rodney McGruder caused a little scuffle near the Warriors tunnel when the buzzer sounded, as ESPN's Nick Friedell detailed below. Unfortunately for him, the five-time All-Star was on the broadcast for the postgame interview as the events transpired.

Nonetheless, Thompson is probably just looking out for his Warriors teammates and did so while also clowning the Pistons guard in the process.

As can be heard above, right before he put on the mic, Thompson appeared to asked Juan Toscano-Anderson why McGruder was yelling on the way out. The response was inaudible, but it seems like Klay didn't appreciate McGruder's actions.

Clowning aside, there may be some truth behind Thompson's words. McGruder has just played in three games for the Pistons this season and doesn't appear to getting some traction back into his NBA career.

As for the Warriors sniper, he is still undergoing rehab for his injured Achilles and should make a full recovery by next season. While on the sidelines, Thompson put in some time to improve his television skills, as he joined the broadcast during the third quarter of the game against Detroit.

Thompson also gave an update on his recovery process and revealed that he feels good so far. As usual, Thompson delivered a ton of hilarious punchlines throughout the quarter. He even had a gem of a postgame interview with fellow Splash Brother Stephen Curry.
