SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors released an update on injured star Draymond Green on Wednesday. The Warriors said he's doing well and is now participating in light on-court activities. The Warriors anticipate him to play sometime after the All-Star break, but there's no set date for his return.

Before Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets, Steve Kerr talked about the progress of his All-Star forward.

“I haven’t seen him workout because he works during off-hours,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “But every time I speak with him, which is pretty much every day, he tells me how great he’s feeling and how well he’s doing.”

Green has missed a total of 20 games (21 if you consider the game Klay Thompson returned where he played seconds before subbing himself out) due to his lower back injury. The Warriors would love to have him back, but Kerr explained everything is going as planned.

“This is expected,” Kerr shared. “This was kind of the message that I heard from Day 1, that everyone felt really positive that given time and rehab that there would be a good result. That seems to be where we are heading.”

Now the Warriors stumble into the All-Star break after a one-point defeat against the Nuggets. They will have time to regroup and get some time off to get healthier. This update doesn't mean Green will be playing right when the break is over, but it does mean he's going to be playing soon, as long as there are no setbacks.
