When Draymond Green said that he sees the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics facing off in the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat didn't like it one bit and criticized the veteran forward. Miami was still fighting for their playoff lives at the time despite falling 3-2 in the East Finals, and so hearing Green make that prediction lit a fire inside them.

The Heat were then able to tie the series at 3-3 to force Game 7. After which, Udonis Haslem and PJ Tucker sarcastically thanked Green for motivating them, though the former said the Warriors star “broke the code” with his “bullsh*t” take.

Now speaking about the incident and the Heat's reaction, Green shared just how satisfied he is to motivate a team with his comments.

“It was exciting to know that people pay that much attention to my words and what I say. Wow. They really watched what I had to say and that motivated them? I’m getting better at this motivational thing. That’s great,” Green told Marc J. Spears of Andscape.

Draymond Green couldn't have been more savage with his response. What could hurt Heat fans even more is the fact that the Warriors star isn't wrong with his prediction.

The Celtics took care of business in Game 7, showing the Heat that they have the better and deeper team led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Jimmy Butler did his best to help the Heat come back in the contest, but his efforts were simply not enough.

Certainly, Dray had the last laugh in this one.
