Now that he's firmly established himself as the greatest shooter of all time, it's almost so hard to imagine how Stephen Curry was once a mere afterthought for some folks. Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green remembers Steph's evolution well. So much so, that the former Defensive Player of the Year can pinpoint the exact moment Curry realized he was an unstoppable force.
Steph was in his fourth season in the NBA when Green joined the Warriors as a rookie. Since then, Dray witnessed Curry's rise firsthand. According to Green, it wasn't actually too long ago that Steph came to the conclusion that he is indeed one of the greatest ever:
“Early on when we first started doing this, it's like, ‘Man, this dude is so good. He don't even really understand how good he is,'” the Warriors veteran told Malika Andrews of ESPN. “And you start to watch it and start to see the confidence grow. And then you see the shimmy. And you should see the evolution. If I had to put a year on it like 2017, 2018, he really starts to understand, ‘Wow, I am that good. I am that guy.’ And in 2020, it’s like, ‘Okay, now I’m unstoppable.’ … He truly feels like he's unstoppable.”

I see no lies here. Right now, trying to prevent the Warriors superstar from an offensive explosion on any given night is nothing short of a gargantuan task. The Boston Celtics are hoping for the same and at the moment, it's hard to deny that the odds are stacked against them in the NBA Finals.
