NBA Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors veteran forward Draymond Green have beefed from time to time over the years, often making amends before making more snide comments towards one another. In the latest entry, the 29-year-old three-time champion compared himself to Barkley while being interviewed by ESPN.

“There are some guys, like a lot say Charles Barkley — he was a guy who was getting the rebound and was pushing it full court. I'm really nothing like Charles Barkley. We're the same height but — and we both push the ball up the floor — but that's about it.

“That's the issue. You're gonna need some incredible in vitro to come up with like six different guys.”

Barkley never won a ring in his illustrious NBA playing days, and in the 21st century he has served as a vanguard of the league as a commentator and analyst for TNT, often poking fun at players who draw his ire, like the outspoken and brash Green.

The Warriors are a long way from their title-contending days at the moment at 2-10 through a month into the 2019-20 season after five consecutive trips to the Finals, winning three against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Green was a formidable part of that dynasty, a masterful defender who could contain nearly any player at any position, and the glue of the offense, setting screens for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and breaking out the passing chops.

He's not even 30 yet, but it looks like Green is reflecting on his career already and calling himself more than just a Barkley clone.
