The Golden State Warriors' seven-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday night against LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets. It was the second and final meeting between the two groups, and it ended with a series split at one apiece. In Sunday's Hornets victory, Ball finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three assists, and he received high praise from Draymond Green.

“He's a very good floor general. He shot the ball extremely well in that first half, and he gives these guys confidence. When he's out there on the floor, they have a different type of confidence,” Green told ClutchPoints.

Green finished the game with 11 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Despite the Warriors finishing the game with 31 assists, the Dubs never really got it going offensively. They shot 42.2 percent from the field and were a shocking 9-of-39 from deep.

The Warriors didn't have it on this night, and there was no way of hiding the fact. Top to bottom, the team struggled to score. That includes Stephen Curry, who finished with 24 points and 10 assists but shot just 7-of-22 from the field and 3-of-13 from deep.

This was only the Warriors' second defeat this season, and it came on the road against a young and talented squad. There's no need for Warriors fans to panic. The season is a marathon and not a sprint. Winning every game isn't necessary to win an NBA championship, so expectations shouldn't change after this game.

Next, the Dubs head to Brooklyn to face Kevin Durant and the Nets. It will be the first game between the two teams this season, and it could be an early NBA Finals preview.
