Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are very important players for the Golden State Warriors.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

But it's almost unbelievable to think just how important. The Splash Brothers might just be the best-shooting backcourt in the history of the NBA. And if the word “might” was left out of that sentence, not many people would object to it.

It's not like Curry and Thompson need to do anything more to prove this to be true. But per ESPN Stats and Info, there's another crazy number that further cements not only their worth to the Warriors but also just how dominant of shooters they are.

To put number in a different light, the Warriors win 87.5 percent of their games when Curry and Thompson shoot at least 50 percent in the same game. That's staggering.

It'd be interesting to go back and see how many games during the 73-win season Curry and Thompson accomplished this feat. An educated guess is it would be quite a lot of them, because the Warriors did not have Kevin Durant that year.

Also, how do they lose 10 games with both of those guys shooting like they do? Were they schedule losses, or maybe the rest of the Warriors were so bad that it didn't matter what Curry and Thompson did? Maybe the two just didn't take that many shots in those games, but still ended up at 50 percent.

The Warriors are basketball aliens. There's not much else to say about this team at this point. They have the best collection of talent in the league, and Curry and Thomson are at the crux of it.
