Are even Golden State Warriors fans beginning to grow tired of their team's success? It seems that way.

According to John Ourand and John Lombardo of the Sports Business Journal, the Warriors led the NBA in local TV ratings for a third straight season, but they also declined for the third straight season, as their local rating is down 11 percent from a year ago.

This does not come as much of a surprise.

The regular season means absolutely nothing to the Warriors, as evidenced by the fact they went through a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs throughout the 2018-19 campaign.

It didn't stop the Dubs from winning 57 games and finishing with the best record in the Western Conference, but it was blatantly obvious throughout the year that the Warriors were not going full throttle, which explains some of their puzzling home losses to teams like the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic.

The funny thing is, as the Warriors' local ratings have declined each season, their regular-season records have declined with them.

Golden State won 67 games during Kevin Durant's first season with the club during the 2016-17 campaign. That win total then dipped to 58 last year, and it then dropped by one victory this season.

Of course, in the end, none of that really matters so long as the Warriors are ready for the playoffs. And even though they seemed to need a wake-up call during their first-round series win over the Los Angeles Clippers, they don't seem to be showing any reasons as to why we should sincerely doubt that they will win their third straight championship.
