It's scary to think that the Golden State Warriors haven't been playing at full strength this entire season, yet that's been exactly the case. With Klay Thompson back in action and Draymond Green on the mend, the Warriors are working to get back all of their star players, and that includes James Wiseman, who has missed the entire season with a knee injury. Well, Tuesday marked a significant milestone in Wiseman's injury return, as the former No. 2 overall pick took part in contact work for the first time in as many as 10 months, per Connor Letourneau.

This is obviously a significant step for Wiseman as he looks to return from the MCL injury that's kept him sidelined for nearly a full calendar year. Wiseman last featured in a game for the Warriors back in April of 2021, but has been sidelined since as he recovers from the long-term injury.

Last year, Wiseman posted season averages of 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game. He averaged 21.4 minutes per night and featured in 39 games for the Warriors, starting 27. His NBA career has gotten off to a slow start due to the serious injury he sustained, however it looks as if he's nearing a return to the floor based on the latest update from Tuesday's practice.

Wiseman figures to play a key role for the Warriors when he returns, though the team will probably take its time in working him back after his near full-year away from game action. While there's no precise timetable for his return just yet, this latest update bodes well for Wiseman making a possible end-of-season return ahead of the playoffs.
