The Golden State Warriors have no one to blame but themselves for their horrible Game 1 loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Stephen Curry and co. were ahead by 12 points heading to the fourth quarter of the game, but they ended up losing 120-108 after a fiery comeback from the Celtics. While defense and Al Horford's performance should be given credit for the Boston victory, the Warriors also made it too easy for the visitors.

According to the NBA advanced stats, the Celtics were either open or wide-open in 38 of their 41 attempts from deep. Basically, the Warriors didn't defend the 3-point line at all.

Open shots are when a defender is 4-6 feet away from the shooter, while wide-open is when the defender is away for 6 feet or more. The Warriors actually allowed the Celtics to take 23 wide-open triples, with Boston making 13 of those.

Now that is not a good stat for the Warriors at all. For a team that prides itself as one of the best shooting team in the NBA, they should've know better how to defend it. Not to mention that they even have the GOAT shooter on their side.

The Celtics ended up making 21 triples in the contest. And sure enough if the Dubs want to win Game 2, they can't allow the same thing to happen.
