Klay Thompson couldn't hold back his emotions after exploding for 38 points in the Golden State Warriors' win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

On a night when Stephen Curry struggled and scored just eight points, it was Thompson who filled the void on the offense with a remarkable shooting performance. He went 15-of-24 from the field, with more than half coming from 3-point land. The other half of the Splash Bros. banked eight of his 14 long-distance attempts to propel the Dubs to a 122-109 victory.

Naturally after the contest, Thompson was hyped with his breakout play. To recall, the 32-year-old guard was on a major post All-Star slump prior to Saturday, averaging 15.8 points on 36.9 percent shooting in the previous five games he played. He was making just 29.7 percent of his shots from deep as well.

“That one felt good!” Thompson exclaimed as he headed to the Warriors' locker room following the win, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN.

Klay Thompson's explosion couldn't come at a better time as well. The Warriors needed the win as they try to protect their spot in the West standings, and the victory should help them contend for the no. 2 seed.

It is also interesting to note that his huge performance came after head coach Steve Kerr preached patience to him. A huge reason for Thompson's recent struggles was his desire to quickly contribute and make an impact, leading him to force things.

Against the Bucks, Thompson let the game come to him, and it worked wonders.

It is definitely the confidence booster that he needs, which is good news for the Dubs. With Draymond Green returning soon and Thompson finding his rhythm, the Warriors are looking more dangerous than ever.
