Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has some high-profile friends. Thompson recently posted a photo on Instagram featuring himself playing a game of chess with none other than boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

The Warriors legend is currently in Pacquiao's home country of the Philippines after spending a few days in China.

It's some much-needed time away for Thompson. The 33-year-old recently stopped by Paul George's Podcast P with Paul George podcast to reflect on his legendary career.

During the interview, Thompson vowed to spend more time enjoying the moment as opposed to getting caught up in the high-intensity NBA lifestyle.

It appears that with this latest photo, Klay Thompson is doing just that, playing one of the most calming games known to man, chess, alongside another sports legend.

The legendary shooting guard will be entering his 13th NBA season in 2023-24. Over the years, Thompson has established himself as one of the best pure jump shooters in NBA history, helping lead the Warriors to four championships during his tenure.

Last season was filled with frustration for Golden State. The team battled through a tumultuous regular season and a Round One slugfest with the Sacramento Kings before bowing out to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.

Thompson in particular had some struggles in the Los Angeles series.

Still, with the shooting prowess that Thompson possesses, alongside of course his running mate Stephen Curry, it would be foolish to discount the Warriors altogether heading into 2023-24.

Golden State kicks things off at home against the Phoenix Suns on October 24.
