On Saturday night, the Boston Celtics hosted the Golden State Warriors in what many believe could be a preview of this season's NBA Finals. However, one person who does not appear ready to agree with this prediction is Warriors star Klay Thompson.

Prior to the matchup, Thompson explained that right now, he is not yet thinking about the Finals. Instead, he is focused on what's immediately in front of him.

The Warriors-Celtics contest, however, did not disappoint. The defending champs came out on top, 115-111, but the surging Celtics would not go down without a fight.

Reigning back-to-back Finals MVP Kevin Durant led the way for the Dubs with 33 points on 10-of-23 shooting and 12-of-13 from the charity stripe. He also added one three-pointer, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

For the Celtics, it was their talisman, Kyrie Irving, who stepped up on the evening, with the 26-year-old guard contributing 32 points (on 12-of-27 shooting), four three-pointers, six rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals in a whopping 40 minutes of action.

The C's pushed the Warriors all the way to the end, but Durant and co. were able to roll with the punches and eventually overpower the Celtics.

The NBA Finals is still five months away, and a lot will still happen between now and then. However, if the Warriors-Celtics Finals prediction actually comes to fruition, then we all definitely be treated to what should be a series for the ages.
