Golden State Warriors All-Star Klay Thompson believes their next game against the Toronto Raptors could be a preview of the 2019 NBA Finals. Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors are currently leading the league with a 17-4 win-loss card.

Mark Medina of The Mercury News posted this snippet of Thompson in a press conference after their recent comeback win versus the Orlando Magic:

“Right now they’re the best, and I expect them to be there throughout the whole season. They’ve got tremendous length and so many two-way players. Obviously, Kawhi is back and playing at an MVP level. Kyle Lowry is a great leader, as well as a bulldog out there. So it’s going to be a great test for us. Who knows? It might be a preview of June. They’ve got something really special up there in Canada right now.”

With the Boston Celtics' disappointing start this season, the Raptors have vaulted themselves to the top of the East. They are now sitting on a five-game winning streak behind a high-powered and efficient offense.

On the other hand, the Warriors are back to their winning ways after a drought that saw them lose six of their previous eight games. Thompson and Kevin Durant have taken the leadership mantle by emerging victorious in their last three games, sans Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Still, Thursday's showdown between the Warriors and Raptors could be more of a Finals preview if each team is in full health. Reports have it that Curry could play sooner than later, and what better way to dust off the rust than compete against the league-leading Raptors.
