Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors is Voldemort, at least according to a Redditor who not only made this outlandish conclusion but also backed up his claims.

As reported by Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, Redditor sixtycoffees questioned if Durant is the villain Voldemort from book series Harry Potter. The Redditor supported this claim by several proofs, which, honestly speaking, are pretty convincing.

Do you agree with the Redditor's claims? Or do you notice some weaknesses in the arguments? Or do you feel that it's just another jab attempt at Durant for his decision to move to a then 73-win Warrior team?

Agree or not, we can safely conclude that this offseason is taking a toll on basketball fans. We can all sympathize with the boredom that the Redditor is experiencing right now.

The biggest free agents have been signed and basketball channels are showing replays that we all know by heart and memory. So to cure our boredom, why not link two completely different fields and come up with a new and interesting theory?

Training camp will start next month. While it won't necessarily possess the electrifying intensity of the regular season which will start in October, it's the closest thing we'll get to some NBA action. Until then, fan theories — no matter how absurd — won't hurt mend our cravings.
