Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, along with head coach Steve Kerr, declined to comment on the allegations against Sacramento Kings head coach Luke Walton.
Walton is reportedly being sued for sexual assault. The alleged incident reportedly took place when he was an assistant coach with the Warriors.
Walton was with the Warriors for two seasons. He led Golden State to a 39-4 start during the 2015-16 season while Kerr was away from the team recovering from back surgery.
Walton became the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017. He was with LA for three seasons. Walton and the Lakers parted ways on April 12. He got hired by the Kings three days later.
The Warriors are in the middle of the playoffs. The organization has already released a statement about the alleged incident. There's no need for the reporters to ask the players or Kerr about this. Walton isn't with the Warriors anymore.
The details of this alleged incident are graphic. Kerr will do a good job of keeping his group focused. The Warriors are up 3-1 on the Los Angeles Clippers. They will look to close out the series in Game 5 at home on Wednesday.
