The Golden State Warriors are still knee deep in their hunt for another NBA championship. But Stephen Curry already has some additional hardware to add to his trophy case – a college diploma.

Steph Curry finished his college degree at Davidson 13 years after he left for the NBA. The Warriors star sent out a celebratory tweet on his “dream come true” moment.

“Class of 2010….aka 2022 but we got it done! Thanks to my whole village that helped me get across the finish line. Made the promise when I left and had to see it through. Official @davidsoncollege alum 🙌🏽 Momma we made it!”

The Warriors star finished his bachelor's degree in sociology with a thesis focusing on using his forte, sports, as a means to promote gender equity.

Stephen Curry has long been an advocate for education so it's no surprise to see him finish up the degree he started way back in 2006.

But the Warriors icon also had another incentive to get his diploma as it's a prerequisite to having his jersey retired in the rafters at Davidson. Even the most famous alumnus from their school by miles couldn't get an exemption to that rule. But Stephen Curry has never been about shortcuts, and he proved it by working hard to finish his degree.
