Stephen Curry is not surprised that Jordan Poole made a ridiculous buzzer-beater from halfcourt in Game 2 against the Boston Celtics, but he's definitely proud his Golden State Warriors teammate did it.

To recall what transpired in the third quarter of the contest, Poole launched what looked like a desperation heave with less than five seconds remaining on the clock. As the buzzer sounded, however, the ball swished to the net and sparked wild celebrations from the Warriors and their fans.

The shot gave the Warriors a 23-point lead heading to the fourth quarter, and it was definitely a confidence-booster as the Dubs held onto their lead for the 107-88 victory.

Speaking to reporters after the win, Curry shared that they always try to take shots from halfcourt, and apparently, shots made during games are counted in the tally.

“We shoot half court shots at every practice and shootaround. If you make one during the game, we count it. [Jordan Poole] took the lead tonight,” Stephen Curry said, per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post.

It is certainly great to see that Jordan Poole and the rest of the Warriors are not afraid to take those kinds of shots. Perhaps the fact that they have a big lead helps. Still, it sent a rather strong message to the Celtics.

The Warriors have now tied the series with the Celtics at 1-1, and if they keep shooting as they did in Game 2, the Beantown team would be in serious trouble.
