Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors have long been compared to one another as athletes in recent years.

Mahomes has risen to stardom in the NFL. Following Mahomes' disappointing loss in Super Bowl 55, Stephen Curry spoke about the similarities between him and Mahomes.

“I see a lot of myself in him, obviously there’s been a lot of comparisons,” Stephen Curry said, via Pete Grathoff of the Kansas City Star. “Just that creativity. You can’t blink or you’ll miss something special. I just love his confidence. He knows that at any point he can do something special.

When Stephen Curry is on the court, he is must-watch television as he can score the basketball in a variety of ways, especially from beyond the arc. The same could be said for Mahomes, who can make any play on the field due to his gifted arm talent and mobility.

While Mahomes is special at throwing the ball, it's his confidence that has caught the attention of Stephen Curry, though.

Stephen Curry also spoke about how special Mahomes is and how the Chiefs have surrounded him with plenty of weapons.

“He’s always got options. He’s got a way to make a play, using his feet or his arm, sidearm pass, whatever it is. He’s surrounded by some weapons and he knows how to use them. That guy, he’s special. He’s a generational talent, obviously. So, love watching him.”

Throughout his career, Stephen Curry has evolved into the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history and is an ideal role model for kids around the globe.

In just a few years with the Chiefs, Mahomes is becoming a generational talent at the quarterback position as kids try to mimic what he does, similar to Curry with the Dubs.
