The Golden State Warriors are standing by one man currently on death row. All-Star guard Stephen Curry and head coach Steve Nash have put their support behind Julius Darius Jones, a man feared by many to have been wrongly convicted nearly two decades ago.
The Warriors went on a road trip to Oklahoma, where Jones is currently being held, for their game against the OKC Thunder. Jones was convicted for first-degree murder in 2002 but maintains to this day that he had no involvement in said grievous act.
Both Kerr and Curry were vocal in separate Twitter videos expressing their support in favor of getting Jones off death row and potentially an official pardon.

Many thanks to @warriors @SteveKerr taking time to meet with Julius’s sister Antoinette + @justice4julius campaign and lend his support to #FreeJuliusJones. Help us call @GovStitt and request he honor the ruling of the parole and pardon board and commute his sentence🙏🏿 pic.twitter.com/jLcN4TWp0L

Julius Jones is slated for execution on November 18. While the date draws even closer, the support he's getting vouching for his innocence continues to grow stronger.
