After losing four of the last five games and dropping under .500 with a (22-24) record, the Golden State Warriors now have a reason to smile. The return of their superstar point guard Stephen Curry is finally here against the Chicago Bulls. Head coach Steve Kerr talked to the media about any minute restrictions on Curry tonight.
“You know, if he gets tired, quicker we'll get him out, but I think in general, he's got a season's worth of conditioning under his belt, so he's got a great foundation for his conditioning and stamina, but we'll watch him closely,” Kerr told Clutchpoints.
The Warriors have been an up-and-down team even with Curry on the floor and healthy, but without him, it was mostly downhill for them. Getting Curry back in the lineup will certainly be a morale boost for his Warriors teammates. After practice head coach, Steve Kerr expressed the importance of winning games immediately.
“We've had a few of these moments during the season where you could just since alright, we need to win. We need to win a game, and each time we have felt that our team has responded, I'm very confident that we're going to respond,”We're right in the thick of it, of everything, so a great opportunity, and yeah, this is, you know, coming at a time where we've lost four in a row and without Steph (Curry). We've had to have some things go against us and hit in the mouth a couple of times. We got to respond,” Kerr told media.
With the NBA season nearing its end and having the 10th best record in the Western Conference(22-24), the Warriors hope to be at full strength for the remainder of the season. So they can return to the playoffs after missing it last year.
