The Golden State Warriors just finished back-to-back games against the Portland Trail Blazers, with the teams splitting both contests. Despite defeating the Blazers on Sunday night, Steve Kerr isn't a fan of playing back-to-back games against the same team.

“If I were a fan and I came to the game against Portland that first night, I’d probably want to see somebody else the next night,” Steve Kerr said, via Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle. “I think we should always be thinking about our fans when it comes to how we schedule the games.”

Last Friday, the Warriors faced the Blazers at home, losing the game 123-98 in a forgettable performance by the team. However, just two days later, Golden State got another chance to take down Portland as Curry exploded for 62 points en route to a 137-122 victory.

Playing the same team twice in a three-day span is not common in the NBA. However, with the league trying to limit the amount of travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic, teams will square off with certain teams twice in a three-day span.

Of course, in a season that doesn't have to worry about the risks of COVID-19, the NBA likely won't continue this trend. And it seems as if the Warriors coach didn't really take the current situation into consideration before making his comments.

Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers recently expressed his belief that the league should stick with having teams face twice in consecutive games to limit travel. On the other hand, it's evident that Kerr prefers the usual way of conducting a season.
