Many questioned the Golden State Warriors decision to trade for Andrew Wiggins in 2019. Wiggins was a former top prospect that never quite lived up to his billing during his time in Minnesota with the Timberwolves. However, the deal is looking like an absolute steal for the Warriors here in 2022. Steve Kerr commented on Wiggins's development and incredible postseason performance up to this point.

“I'm impressed, I'm not surprised,” Kerr said. “Wiggs has shown since we've had him the past couple years that he can be an excellent defender, he's got great size, length, athleticism. Over the last couple years he's just gotten more and more attentive, more on edge, and ready for what's coming next.”

Kerr continued by explaining how the Warriors team has helped Wiggins reach the next level.

“I think part of it is just playing Draymond (Green), Steph (Curry), and Klay (Thompson), and playing with guys who have been around championship basketball and them really imploring him to be that guy for us because we desperately needed that. So when Wiggs recognized that was the role that was needed, he really locked in and got better and better.”
