San Francisco – The referees have had their hands full controlling the emotions of two teams with championship aspirations. The two squads are the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies. There's been hard fouls, ejections, suspensions, and a lot of trash talking on the court. Everything was all about basketball until a local Memphis weatherman named Joey Sulipeck posted and then deleted a racist tweet about Draymond Green.

This tweet was sent out irresponsibly and it started to circulate on the internet quickly. After practice Sunday morning, Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked was he surprised that a weatherman would make racist comments about one of his players. The future Hall of Fame coach didn't hold back.

“Does it surprise me that a weatherman would tweet a slur at Draymond in 2022? Not the slightest bit,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “This is America. Also, I got off Twitter a year ago and it’s been blissful and I highly recommend it.”

Green was made aware of what was said after Saturday's game. The Warriors power forward shared a post on his Instagram story from Kron 4’s Jason Dumas to shine a light on the man who made the racist tweet. It worked, and Sulipeck has deleted his Twitter account. But that won't be enough to cover up what happened during Saturday's game.

Now the Warriors are focused on Monday. It will be the fourth game of the series, and they have plans to win another game, which would give them a 3-1 lead. Then they will have the opportunity to close the series in Memphis during Game 5.
