The Golden State Warriors had an opportunity to close out the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs. Instead, Nikola Jokic led his team to upset Golden State to keep Denver alive. A terrible play call from Steve Kerr resulted in a bad turnover late in the fourth quarter, which led to a loss. The star head coach reacts to the Otto Porter Jr.'s turnover.

According to Anthony Slater, Steve Kerr would love to have another chance on that late-game turnover. Otto Poter Jr. lobbed it up to Andrew Wiggins, but Austin Rivers got a hand on the ball and took possession away from the Warriors. From there, the Nuggets knocked down a corner three to clinch the Game 4 win.

In retrospect, the play call wasn't that bad, as it would have been a massive play had it worked. Rivers just made a great play on the ball and there wasn't much the Warriors could do about it. Now, the Nuggets live to see another day while Golden State is forced to play a fifth game against a competitive Denver squad.

A win would have been ideal for the Warriors, as they would likely have received a nice break until participating in their round two matchup. Instead, Golden State must square off against the Nuggets again. Denver is likely to come out swinging, as another loss means their championship hopes are diminished.

We'll see how it plays out, but considering no team in NBA history has ever come back from being down 0-3, the Warriors should feel comfortable right now. All they have to do is win one more game and they'll advance to the next round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
