Stephen Curry is on the brink of basketball immortality. When the Golden State Warriors visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, Curry could finally break Ray Allen's record of most career three-pointers in the regular season. The whole basketball world is intently watching when (not if) he will break that record.

Among those watching Stephen Curry's 3PT record attempt is Ray Allen himself. The retired sharpshooter was asked whether he'll heckle the Warriors superstar to distract him. (via NBC Sports Bay Area)

“Why don't you go heckle him, Ray? Put up a sign and yell out ‘I'm the king,’ ” Patrick asked.

“Because if you haven't watched anything over the last 12 years, that's not going to bother Steph,” Allen responded.

Yeah, that sounds about right for Curry. The Warriors star has made a living out of proving his detractors wrong. Hell, the man once admitted to reading negative tweets about him at halftime to fire him up! Stephen Curry thrives off of the negativity thrown his way. Allen jeering him from the sidelines will only prove to boost Curry's performance.

Not that Allen has any desire to root against Curry anyway. In fact, he's making arrangements with him and the Warriors to attend the game where Curry breaks the 3PT record. Just like how Reggie Miller was there when Ray Allen broke the Pacers legend's record, the Celtics and Heat sniper wants to do the same for Stephen Curry.

” I was fortunate because I broke the record in Boston against the [Los Angeles] Lakers with Reggie in the building, so it's only appropriate that I find my way there. I don't know where it's going to be so I got to kind of watch this thing.”

It's only a matter of time before Curry breaks that record. It will likely happen against the Knicks, so Ray better book a flight to New York.
