Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green reminded Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant why he is the former Defensive Player of the Year on Sunday night.
Morant called for isolation after Green switched onto him during the third quarter, but Green used his physicality to stay in front of Morant, easily sending his shot attempt back where it came from:
Morant has been putting opposing defenders on skates all season long, but the ever-competitive Green was not about to get put on Morant's rookie season mixtape.
You can ever hear Green yell out “Hell no!” after he gets the swat, which really epitomizes Green's level of energy and dogged effort on the defensive side of the ball.
This season has been a struggle for Green without Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on the floor. His production is down almost across the board, and his younger teammates have simply been unable to get on the same page defensively.
Still, there is no quit in Draymond, who always seems willing to remind his peers he is still capable of playing at an All-Star level for the Warriors.
