The 2018-19 NBA season is finally here. It’s also another way of saying that petty NBA is back. And here is Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant submitting his entry for the most pety moment of the week by turning to the Oklahoma City Thunder bench after denying Steven Adams at the post.

The animosity between Kevin Durant and his former team has never been a secret. He and Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook, in particular, have had their share of hostile, though, harmless, moments on and off the court ever since Durant left Oklahoma City to chase NBA championships in the Bay Area.

Unfortunately, NBA fans were denied of the chance to see the two alphas go head to head on opening night with Westbrook sidelined to rest up his right knee that went under the knife last month.

Durant has the bragging rights over Westbrook and company, as he’s had more success since his departure than Oklahoma City has had over that same span.

Those waiting to see an on-court collision between Durant and Westbrook will have to wait at least until Nov. 21, when the Warriors host Oklahoma City again. By then, Westbrook should have fully recovered and ready to go like he always has been.
