Head coach Kalen Deboer has been a home run hire for the Washington Huskies. In just his second season with the team, Deboer has led Washington football to the National Title game. The Huskies will face the Michigan Wolverines after taking down the Texas Longhorns in the Semi-Finals. DeBoer spoke on his process of winning with the team, now that Washington football stands with an undefeated 14-0 record.

“I think the team, each win, has been celebrated on somewhat of a level, because I make sure they do that because it's really hard to win a college football game,” DeBoer said, per Kyle Bonagura at ESPN. “But it's been this really even keel kind of mentality and just knowing that the work's not done — the job's not done — and we're going to celebrate the win. But the next game's the most important.”

There have been doubts about whether Washington football was ready for the spotlight, with questions surrounding the schedule they played this season. DeBoer and the Huskies shut up most of those suspicions with a solid win over Texas. This Washington football team is legit and ready to stomp over anything in their way. They've produced the most explosive offense in the country while fielding an underrated defense that's shown up when they're needed most.

Washington football may not be favored against Michigan, but it'll certainly be a dogfight. DeBoer is going to lead this team into the most important game in program history, with the best roster the Huskies have ever produced.
