Looking for beautiful basketball with such purity that would make you love the game even more? This ain't it. Even the Brooklyn Nets and the Houston Rockets would agree.

The two teams faced off at Barclays Center on Tuesday night and in the dying moments of the second quarter, it looked like they were just eager to go to bed early after a blunder-filled sequence.

After Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. missed a three-pointer, forward Josh Christopher got the offensive rebound but missed his layup, then Alperen Sengun got another offensive rebound but also missed his shot, luckily he got another offensive board but the ball almost got stolen, then Jae'Sean Tate recovered it but also muffed his lay-in, Nets star Kevin Durant finally got the possession but fell down and lost the ball, and then—this is crazy, just watch the video (via Hoop Central).

Was that tiring or what? It was a wild series to end the first half, with the Nets taking a 64-47 lead.

One would think with the best hoopers in the world, the NBA is always a balletic, graceful, rhythmic experience. But of course, that's not true. There will always be moments when the players simply can't sink a bucket.

The Nets are desperately looking to build momentum heading into the play-in tournament while the Rockets are just playing with house money.

But after their silly sequence, Dr. James Naismith must be looking for the head slap emoji in his grave.
