Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden became the president-elect on Friday morning when the states of Georgia and Pennsylvania flipped, pushing Biden over the electoral college threshold. This made Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal ready to call the election.
However, President Donald Trump indicated in a press conference Thursday evening he would not concede the election and instead fight it out in the courts. Trump's assertionâwithout proofâof fraud has led to a number of questions as to whether the incumbent will ever concede or not.
The Wizards shooting guard urged the Commander in Chief to concede on Friday after Trump once again alleged there are âmissing military ballotsâ in Georgia.

Numerous NBA stars have chimed in on the proceedings of this election, with Beal being the latest.
The All-Star guard has been an active voice among the players in recent months. Beal also became a first-time voter in 2020, saying in September he hoped other athletes and marginalized voting groups would make their voices heard:
âI donât necessarily see myself or consider myself an activist, but I feel like I have a platform, and Iâm going to utilize it to the best of my ability,â Beal said, via Michael Brice-Saddler of the Washington Post.
âRight now,â he said, âthis voting year coming up in October-November is the most important time for us all to vote.â
Beal and so many others certainly did make their voices heard. The 2020 election was on pace for a record turnout.
Given some of Trump's rhetoric, it is unlikely this election will find resolution in the next day or even the next week.
But Beal would prefer the president concede to the will of the American people.
