The Washington Wizards had to watch as their star point guard Russell Westbrook left Game 2 early after suffering an ankle sprain in the 4th quarter. The Philadelphia 76ers won and took a 2-0 series lead into Washington DC. As for Westbrook, he gave a short and vague answer after the game regarding his injury status and potential availability for Game 3.

That doesn't seem like a positive sign for Westbrook and the Wizards. After everything Westbrook has done, it would be devastating to have him miss even one game and the Wizards risking going down 3-0 to the Sixers, the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Bradley Beal has been marvelous this season as well, finishing the campaign second in points per game behind Stephen Curry. However, without Westbrook the Wizards have seemingly no chance as he has been the key contributor to their late-season rise on their way to a spot in the play-in tournament that ultimately gave them the 8-seed and a date with the Sixers.

So it will be interesting to see how the next couple of days playout for the Wizards as they head home and try to overcome a devastating loss of their star point guard. Can the Wizards hang around without Westbrook?

Either way, let's hope that he suits up for Game 3.
