Russell Westbrook literally threw a two-handed bullet pass right on the face of Aron Baynes during Monday night's matchup between the Washington Wizards and the Toronto Raptors. It was a play worthy of its time in the Shaqtin' a Fool limelight, and we fully expect to see it on there pretty soon.
Here's a look at Westbrook using Baynes' face as a backboard (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):
Before anything else, props to Aron Baynes. He absolutely took that like a champ. It doesn't look like he even flinched for a second after taking one right on his grill. Westbrook was falling out of balance too so it appears as though he put all his strength into that pass.
There was no animosity after the sequence though, as both players knew that there was no malice during the play. Baynes looked like he was a bit dazed after being on the wrong end of Westbrook's errant pass, but the pair were able to laugh it off shortly after the incident.
The Wizards were still without Bradley Beal in this one, with the All-Star shooting guard still nursing a hip problem. Raul Neto took his place in the starting five, but it will be Westbrook who will need to do most of the heavy lifting for Washington so long as Beal remains on the shelf.
