It was just last Monday when Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook officially broke the record that was long held by NBA great Oscar Robertson. By posting 28 points to go with 21 assists, and 13 rebounds in Monday's 125-124 road loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Westbrook successfully lapped The Big O for the most triple-doubles in the NBA.

But just when people thought that there isn't any Oscar Robertson stat out there for Westbrook to surpass, he gets another shot at it this coming Friday when the Wizards look to end a two-game skid against the Cleveland Cavaliers at home.

Somewhere, Robertson must be shaking his fist and yelling at the clouds. But seriously, it seems that the legendary guard doesn't have any problem with Westbrook breaking his triple-double record.

If Russell Westbrook could put up yet another monster performance against the Cavs, which is a showing that would have him score at least 25 points and dish out no fewer than 15 dimes, then he'll break his tie with Robertson. At the same time, that would move him to a tie atop the most consecutive 25-point, 15-assist games list with Tiny Archibald.

What is it with Westbrook waging war against records set by these ancient NBA guards?

The Wizards just hope that any insane numbers Westbrook would put up against the Cavs would translate into a win, as they lost both of their past two games against the Hawks.
