The Washington Wizards have reportedly reached an agreement with (now-former) Milwaukee Bucks big man Robin Lopez on a new deal that will bring the veteran to D.C.

This report comes via Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports:

The details of the contract have yet to be revealed, but considering how Lopez earned $4.8 million with Milwaukee last term, he is likely looking at a similar amount of money with the Wizards. Then again, Washington could have given Lopez a salary bump, considering how he turned out to be an early signing for the Wizards in the free agency market.

Last season with the Bucks, Lopez averaged just 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 14.5 minutes off the Milwaukee bench. He could, however, potentially be looking at an increased role for Washington's front court.

This Lopez signing has been overshadowed by a slew of rumors coming out of D.C., with none bigger than the report that superstar point guard John Wall has reportedly demanded for a trade. Wall's rumored move to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Russell Westbrook has supposedly fallen through, but it does not appear to be completely dead at this point. Despite coming off a year on the sidelines due to an Achilles injury, Wall should still have no shortage of suitors in the market.

For his part, Lopez might not get a chance to play alongside Washington's former cornerstone superstar. He will, however, be able to link up with the Wizards' current franchise player in Bradley Beal.
